The Hitman Tumblr now reports that the pass will now be free to download for everyone. North American players will be able to access the mode straight from the main menu, and elsewhere in the world, players will have to download the Contracts Pass either by redeeming the code in the box, or downloading it for free from Xbox LIVE Marketplace or PlayStation Store. New copies do ship with a single-use ‘Contracts Pass Code’, so this would essentially only have affected those who were picking up a pre-played copy. Square Enix and IO Interactive have decided to scrap the pass code to access Hitman Absolution ‘Contracts Mode’.
